#1636 - Sort Array by Increasing Frequency

Problem Description

Given an array of integers nums, sort the array in increasing order based on the frequency of the values. If multiple values have the same frequency, sort them in decreasing order.

Return the sorted array.

  const map = new Map();
  nums.forEach(num => map.set(num, (map.get(num) || 0) + 1));

  return nums.sort((a, b) => {
    const freqA = map.get(a);

    return freqA === freqB ? b - a : freqA - freqB;
  });
};
